In the previous chapter, you learned how to get a font object of type Font or BaseFont. You’ve worked with these objects in the most common situations: using paragraphs of text written from left to right in horizontal lines. In this chapter, we’ll look at some other writing directions. I’ll have to find extra Asian movie titles to demonstrate how you can write a text in vertical columns; and I need Hebrew and Arabic titles to explain how to change the run direction so that text is written from right to left.
