Neglected Consideration

I have no idea when or where I took this, but this picture speaks to the heart of the matter that is usually neglected by most. It relates to the thing that is intrinsic in every photograph. I am referring to the physical air or atmosphere that fills every inch of every image we take.

Yet, it’s taken for granted by most of us, including myself. Our images are less interesting if they all have the same light, same subject, or same scale. I think we’d all agree to that. Similarly, if all our pictures have the same air quality, they lose the chance to use the atmosphere as a tool.
