Putting in Time

I feel that luck and serendipity are my best friends. It’s not that I’m an optimist. If anything, I know too many damn things that go wrong.

But I do feel that the antidote to that is to keep putting in time. The day I did this image I wasn’t shooting that much because I didn’t see that many images. I did, however, keep walking, keep putting in time, and after a long while, I was lucky enough to see this image.

When I’m shooting, I try very hard not to have anything in mind. In fact I try to turn off my thinking and planning apparatus as much as possible, so that I’m free to experience and see what’s before me.
