Hey, Dad

This really should be a shared credit with my daughter, Amanda. You’ll see why.

I was in my editing room when I got this phone call.

“Hey Dad, get up on the roof now, with your camera.”

When I got up there, I saw immediately why she called—blood red clouds of a very rare type called “mammatus.”

When I went back downstairs, I thought about the fact that Amanda rarely directs me toward anything visual. She rarely makes me aware of her visual predilections. It is only by wandering into her room that I see the visual favorites that she has up on the walls.
