6. How to Raise Funds Online

It’s possible to run an online activism initiative at little or no cost if you can secure free (or cheap) hosting and rely on volunteers for labor. If you’re starting from scratch, and especially if you’re working alone or with a small group of volunteers, that may be the best way to go about it.
But if you’re setting up an online presence for an existing organization, it makes sense to accept donations online. As online politics guru Colin Delany explains:
