In this chapter, we describe the essentials of developing and deploying web services, and demonstrate how to do these using WebLogic Workshop. In the previous chapter, you learned how to design the WSDL and prototype the web service. Here, we look at adding to a web service a set of capabilities that are required in business environments. As a developer, you can be more efficient in developing web services by following some of the techniques described in this chapter.
