Summary
The JavaMail package provides access to common email protocols for Java applications. This provides yet another facility for creating loosely coupled J2EE components or for simply providing an application user with access to email. In this chapter we demonstrated some of the basic facilities for using JavaMail and provided a demonstration of coding a set of convenience methods for accessing an email service with the JavaMail API.
