Server Clusters and Failover capabilities
In order to provide both failover and additional scalability, application server vendors allow clusters or groups of hardware servers running the same software to be addressed as a server cluster (see Figure 24-5). This server cluster appears as a single server to external clients, which continue to make requests of a single application server host.
