So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
To demonstrate the use of J2EE technologies and APIs in one cohesive application, we will use a shopping cart example which uses JSPs, servlets and EJBs. A framework provides an extremely convenient mechanism for managing the control of an application. In this chapter we covered the use of Struts frameworks, explaining how these frameworks operate, their architectural foundations, and how the movie store application was developed using this framework. We also examined the pages and the control flow for the ecommerce shopping cart application we will examine in more detail in the next chapter.
