Deploying the WebAuction Application: In Detail

In the previous deployment example, a prebuilt configuration file was automatically copied into your examples directory, and the existing configuration file was archived. In a real-world situation, you would need to configure your server through the WebLogic Server console. Full details of the steps required are included in this section.

To begin, shut down the Examples Server and open a command shell.

Step 0: Configure the Environment

To configure your environment to run the tools correctly, open a Windows command shell and execute the setEnv.cmd script as you did before.

C:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\mydomain\setEnv.cmd

You should see something like Figure 14-9.
