It's going to happen, like it or not: the rift. Your team is made up of individuals, and individuals never agree on everything. In a band, you hope there will be no major disagreements, the kind that can cripple a group. At least initially, you're all working toward the same goal. If you want to be in a jazz band and the rest of your group is into heavy metal, chances are you won't be long for that group. The process that you go through in forming a band—deciding which mind-sets and personalities mesh well and which don't—should go a long way toward heading off serious problems. ...
