Launching the EC2 instance

Now, let's create an EC2 instance from an AMI. If the EC2 AMI view is not already open in the AWS Management perspective in Eclipse, right-click on the AMIs node in AWS Explorer (see Figure 13.3) and select the Open EC2 AMIs view. This view could take a long time to load, because there are many AMIs available. We will select a Linux AMI that is available in the Free Tier (during your trial period). Unfortunately, it is not easy to search for this AMI in the Eclipse view because the view does not display or allow you to search AMIs based on their description.
