Chapter 12. List of Contributors

Hans Bergsten is the founder of Gefion Software, a company focused on server-side Java services and products based on J2EE technologies. Hans has been an active participant in the working groups for both the servlet and JSP specifications from the time they were formed. He also contributes to other related JCP specifications, such asJSP Standard Tag Library, and helped get the Apache Tomcat reference implementation for servlet and JSP started as one of the initial members of the Apache Jakarta Project Management Committee.

William Crawford is Principal Software Architect at Perceptive Informatics, Inc. He was previously Chief Technology Officer at Invantage, Inc. and is the co-author of Java Enterprise in a Nutshell, as well as several other titles. Dave Czarnecki is is a computer scientist in the Advanced Computing Technologies organization at GE’s Global Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. Professionally, he has been involved in the application of Java technology to diverse areas such as e-commerce, evolutionary computation, and natural language algorithm design. David has also presented on software internationalization and general Java topics at local Java user groups and national conferences such as JavaOne. In his spare time, he achieves artistic expression through playing guitar, painting, and writing.
