Package org.omg.PortableServer

Synopsis

This package contains the interfaces that define the Portable Object Adaptor (POA) interface that CORBA server-side implementations can use to interface with the core ORB functions in a portable way. Prior to the introduction of the POA (circa CORBA 2.3.1, supported as of JDK 1.4), server-side CORBA skeletons and implementation objects needed to be ported to different CORBA vendor implementations.
