Effects on Business Models
There are two ways of assessing the impact of Web services on business models. One involves how Web services impacts existing business models and the other, how it will affect forthcoming business models. Existing business are already affected by Web services as major players investigate the applicability of the technology, both as an internal process improvement technology and as an external revenue-generating or collaboration technology.
