Planning and creating sprints

The sample Scrum board already contains one running sprint; let's create a new sprint. Jira Software allows you to create another sprint even if the active sprint isn't completed, but the new sprint can't be started. However, it's possible to enable the parallel sprints feature in Jira Software that lets us run multiple sprints together.

The planning of the sprint has to be done in the Plan mode of the Scrum board. Perform the following steps to run multiple sprints together:

Navigate to Jira (under APPS) | Jira Settings | Applications | Jira Software configuration (under JIRA SOFTWARE), as shown here:
