Items to Leave Behind

One of the keys to standing out from other candidates is to have a portfolio you can leave behind at an interview. Physical portfolios are quite rare in most fields these days, so anyone who takes the effort to create one automatically appears better than everyone else.

The Portfolio Process

One approach that works well is to use plain two-pocket folders. It is growing more difficult to find plain folders, but an office supply store should have at least a few options. You can also check online, but try to find folders that are professional and not emblazoned with the logos of other firms.
