One myth that is frequently played out within organizations is that vulnerability is a sign of weakness. However, in the numerous conversations I have with my clients where they describe their moments of vulnerability, it is most often displayed when they are owning up to mistakes they made, finding the courage to set up their own business, driving forward major change agendas and taking their company public. None of these show weakness. In fact they demonstrate the complete opposite. Perhaps this then tells us that vulnerability is a strong measure of our courage. Showing vulnerability therefore needs to sit at the heart of your adventure towards extraordinary.
