Creating and Editing Users

Until this point, we have assumed that only one person is creating and editing content on this Joomla website — you! However, one of the main reasons why content management systems are used to build websites is that they enable multiple people to contribute to building and maintaining the website.

You could certainly give your login to other people to use when editing the website. Technically, that works just fine. However, people do leave organizations, and they can also make mistakes or do malicious things to a website. Some users may need different permissions to edit (or not edit) portions of the website. For these reasons, it makes much more sense to create user accounts for users as they're needed, rather than sharing a login. Creating users is quite easy, and deleting them is easy too.
