How Search Engines Work
Before we start optimizing Joomla for search engines, let’s quickly go through some of the basics of how Google ranks a web site. Feel free to skip this chapter, if this is already familiar to you. I will only discuss the basics here; more advanced search engine optimization (SEO) topics will be discussed as we go, while we are configuring Joomla.
You can attract an audience to your web site in many ways. Roughly, the most important ones are the following:
