17. The Default Templates and Their Features
As mentioned in Chapter 8, “Now for the Details: A First Look at The Templates,” Joomla! has three default templates that differ not only in their design but also in their technical function range. This chapter introduces their particularities and illustrates their uses.
beez_20 and beez5 Templates
Joomla! has moved away from table-based layouts. The new HTML output is based on the template overrides from the old Beez 1.5 template. For greater clarity, the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) class names were renamed and made more uniform. For template designers, this improvement offers a great advantage.
