Chapter 6. Extending Your Site
In previous chapters you learned how modules provide interactivity and navigation to your site and that articles contain 99% of all content on your site. In this chapter we show you how to extend a site further by using some of Joomla’s built-in components as well as installing third-party extensions and plugins.
One of the more difficult concepts is to understand the differences between modules, components, and plugins. Because most components, modules, and plugins work together, it is difficult to draw a definitive line between them.
