Chapter 8. Changing the Look and Feel
This chapter starts with a quick introduction of jQuery’s ability to work with your own CSS styling. The remainder of this chapter demonstrates the animation functions of both jQuery Core and jQuery UI. Some of the recipes focus on demonstrating all possible function arguments rather than the functions themselves. These recipes can be used as reference material when developing with jQuery UI.
Changing the Styling of jQuery UI Components
There are various ways to change the look and feel of jQuery UI components. One way is to select a different standard theme. Chapter 6, Interacting with the User, already mentioned the standard themes. Themes are defined in the CSS file reference, as illustrated here:
