Automated configuration of networking equipment is becoming a niche market, with companies springing up to develop tools and applications to ensure that human error is mitigated in the quest to achieve high availability. Although automated configurations normally focus on carefully planned changes that are applied with the deployment of new equipment or services, you must also have strategies to handle automated configuration changes for issues that arise unexpectedly.
