Software/Test Requirements
In an informal survey taken at www.csst-technologies.com, we asked the question, “As a software tester, what would facilitate your work the most?” The answers were grouped as follows:
| Improved system requirements documentation | 33% (28 responses) |
| Software testing methods/process | 31% (27 responses) |
| Software testing standards | 16% (14 responses) |
| Improved test planning | 13% (11 responses) |
| More time to complete testing | 7% (6 responses) |
It is obvious that the two most important improvements software test engineers want are improved software requirements and improved testing methods. This is not so obvious with software development managers.
