Chapter Nine Making sense of things

Does the information we have make sense? How? Are we making sense in the information we provide? Making sense involves an interplay between information and need. Making sense is about activity and outcome. Making sense engages a natural inclination to understand the world around us, to discover its patterns, to unlock its secrets, and to appreciate its beauty. Mendeleev made sense of the chemical elements. Using his methods and others, we can make sense of our information and the needs to which it applies.
