Lean Six Sigma analytics

What is it?

Lean Six Sigma analytics is the process of analysing efficiency and quality in your business. Traditionally used in manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma is now also being used in service industries such as insurance companies where the claim handling process is constantly being improved.

The lean part of the equation looks at seven different types of waste to identify areas for improvement:

  1. Transportation: Is there any unnecessary transportation or handling of goods that is adding cost or wasting time?
  2. Motion: Is there any unnecessary motion of people or equipment? In other words, are there any people or equipment that is being moved too often or being moved about too frequently?
