Goal setting (achievement)

Achievement: The drive to improve or reachexcellent standards.

The ability to set goals has long been regarded as an essential attribute for any individual, team or organisation that wants to achieve great things, because, without goals, there is very little motivation to do what needs to be done to be successful. The focus, drive and clear direction that come from having a specific goal is often the visible difference between those who may hope, wish and want, and those who desire, believe and expect. As the late, great author, salesman and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar was known to ask, ‘Are you a wandering generality? Or are you a meaningful specific?’
