Mintzberg’s managerial roles
What do managers actually do in the workplace? Henry Mintzberg showed that managers do three types of things: informational work that involves sharing and disseminating information to those around them; interpersonal work that involves working with individuals to get the most out of them; and decisional work that involves doing deals and making tough choices. By understanding the nature of these different roles, we can all become more effective as managers.
