The clearest way to become a valuable member of a team is to have measurable results and to deliver what your manager needs in the format requested, covering every item succinctly, on time and without problems, on a consistent basis. Consistency is key to trust building and comfort level between you and your manager. I always found great comfort in knowing my go-to people would never let me down.
