I am so honored to be asked to write the foreword for this textbook. I feel that this is an essential time for us LatinX Americans to be reflecting on our history and contributions. We have been written out of much of this country’s narrative, and I think the most important place to begin the work of setting the historical record straight is with textbooks like this one.
