Chapter Five. Type and Shape Layers
There are two more popular categories of layers that we haven’t covered yet: type layers and shape layers. While you use two different tools to create these layers, they actually have a lot in common, which is why I’m covering them together. Plus, if you’ve followed everything so far, then type and shape layers are a breeze. That doesn’t mean they’re not powerful, though. There are a lot of things we can do with these layers that you simply can’t do (or would have a heck of a hard time doing) without them.
