IBM Resource Access Control Facility
You can connect to your DS8000 system through a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server that is running on z/OS and uses the z/OS Security Server Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) to authenticate users and groups. The LDAP server for z/OS is also referred to as IBM Tivoli® Directory Server for z/OS. To use RACF as a user and group repository, the LDAP server must be configured to use the Security DataBase Manager (SDBM) back end, which acts as an interface to RACF.
