Writing LDAP Applets for Java Plug-In Software

If you are writing an applet that uses Java Foundation Classes (JFC), your browser needs to be able to run JFC applets. If the browser is not configured to run JFC applets out of the box, you can choose one of the following options:

  • If you have a recent version of a browser (Internet Explorer 4.01 or later, or Netscape Communicator 4.5 or later), you can configure the browser or the Java virtual machine to include the JFC classes in the CLASSPATH environment variable. See the instructions on the java.sun.com Web site at http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/web/applets/applets.html for more information.
