DELEGATION

Let’s start with a simple question: What do you think delegating means? Is it assigning tasks, or perhaps giving work away? Maybe it’s getting rid of things that you really don’t like to do. If that is similar to your experience, we have another paradigm shift to make. While leaders have every right to assign work and give work away, delegation is something else entirely.

Definition: Delegation is a planned and well-managed new learning opportunity for another person that transfers duties and/or responsibilities to that person for a mutually beneficial purpose.
