4 Take time out for team reflection

Following all of the feedback gathering and giving/receiving, you need to organise a follow-up ‘team retreat’ session for you guys to detach yourselves from the day to day, and honestly face up to what is working well and not well with the team. Taking time out to reflect on performance can be a massive performance accelerator. Issues can be unblocked, misunderstandings can be resolved, barriers come down and bonds strengthen.

If there are serious conflict issues that emerged from the feedback that need to be aired and resolved, you may want to hire in the professional services of a consultant or facilitator who can surface and address issues in a managed way.
