All leaders, at some point, experience self‐doubt. Even if you are fully prepared for the task ahead and have the full support of your team, self‐doubt goes with the territory when you are pushing yourself to the limit. But how do you quiet the voice in your head that asks, ‘Can I really do this?’

The quote above was first attributed to Hannibal when his generals doubted his plan to cross the Alps with elephants, and many explorers have since used it as their personal mantra – myself included.
