Fact 1: Physical attractiveness matters.

Physical attractiveness is a powerful influence or authority. Currently it has lost importance in our culture, at least in terms of public correctness, to seek physical beauty. It is seen as being vain. It is trivialized in terms of its true value to human existence: “beauty is only skin deep,” “never judge a book by its cover,” “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” etc. Paul Newman, the actor, was quoted as saying, “To work as hard as I have worked, to accomplish anything, and then have some yo-yo come up and say, ‘Take off those dark glasses and let’s have a look at those blue eyes,’ is really discouraging.”
