Research about Self-Deception in Organizations

As we discuss in Leadership and Self-Deception, self-deception is the most debilitating of organizational issues. This is so because problems can’t be solved if those responsible for the problems remain resistant to the possibility that they may be at fault. We share a somewhat humorous yet troubling example of this issue in our book The Outward Mindset. The story seems particularly relevant here, as it is about the man who was the inspiration for the Lou character in Leadership and Self-Deception. His name was Jack Hauck.
