Take a Risk
Ever been to an auction? Did you lose control and bid your mortgage money on a stuffed moose head? If so, do not go near eBay (www.ebay.com). If, however, you want to see a site that has nearly perfected what some might have thought the impossible task of bringing together buyer and seller in an electronic transaction for yard-sale items, give it a look. My first step into the fray was to plunk down the grand sum of $4 on a 1908 postcard. It was a photograph of the small-town bank my dad worked in for all of his career, and I gave it to him for his birthday. He was thrilled, I was hooked, and have bought several more items since then. Just don't tell my dad I spent only $4 on his present.
