Parenting is the ultimate test of teaching and coaching.

A mother is the first person to bond with her baby, and from the time a child is born, mothers tell them stories. They tell stories about what the world is like, what is important, and how to do things—in other words, they teach and coach. Great leaders do the same. Great leaders inspire others around them by using stories to convey messages and connect emotionally to their audience, whether they are employees, other leaders, board members, or investors.
