Greetings. It is my honor to appear in front of you and to share with you the state of the Cherokee Nation. As I was admonished and advised to do by Benny Smith at my first inauguration, I have become a student of the Cherokee Nation and of the Cherokee people. Each year this address is my opportunity to share with you some of the things that I have learned. Because your time is valuable, and because it would take too long to share everything with you today, we are providing everyone with our annual Report to the Cherokee People in both written and videotape form.
