Greetings. Welcome to the state of the Cherokee Nation. It is my greatest honor and obligation under our constitution to report to our Cherokee citizens where the Cherokee Nation government and people are today and where we are going. It is a journey, and we must, pursuant to our God-given and inherent right, choose the path of the journey. On behalf of the legislative branch, our council, our judicial branch, our supreme and district courts, and our executive branch, our group leaders, boards, commissions, and staff, I welcome you all here today.
