“I Me Mine” are the words of those who always put themselves ahead of others. These words remind me not to hoard all the power and decision-making as a leader. Leaders empower their teams by sharing responsibilities, providing growth opportunities, and fostering a collaborative environment. It starts with delegating and building trust. Empowerment depends on the team member’s skills. The leader has the responsibility to involve team members in activities and training that develop their capabilities. This chapter discusses strategies to build empowered teams. Outstanding leaders create more leaders.
