What Do the Metaphors Mean?

Do not distribute the following list to participants; it’s meant only for your reference as a facilitator. When participants ask what a metaphor means, we often reply (in a sincere tone), “What do you think it might mean?” The following descriptions should not replace any of the participants’ interpretations.

Metaphor	Explanation
Adventuresome Explorers	Adventuresome Explorers risk danger as they seek and explore new places and new ideas.
Ambitious Pioneers	Ambitious Pioneers are among the first ones into a new place or a new way of thinking.
Autonomous Teammates	Autonomous Teammates are on the same team but think and act independently.
