5 Leadership in the Industrial Workplace
As a social-clinical psychologist, much of my career involved working with colleagues at the Kaizen Institute and working with organizations to improve their effectiveness. Sometimes the organization phrases its objective as seeking to improve productivity. At other times, the goals are richer. Since my graduate studies, my interest has been to explore how organizations bring out the best in people and how people bring out the best in organizations.
Leadership plays a critical role in the sustained success of the changes needed to reach the effectiveness objectives. Effective leadership also plays a role in bringing out the best in people.
