Thus far, we’ve looked at several examples that involve organization-to-organization collaboration. Getting two or more organizations (or units within one organization) to collaborate is tricky enough. Creating a collaborative mindset and initiative in a community is usually far tougher; dealing with various special interests, community leaders who are rivals for power, local politics, and shifting coalitions is no walk in the park. Here’s an example of one such collaborative effort that has gone well and the collaborative leader who helped inspire it.
