STEPHEN GOLDSMITH

Stephen Goldsmith is special adviser to President George W. Bush on faith-based and nonprofit initiatives and chairman of the board of directors of the Corporation for National Service. As mayor of Indianapolis from 1992 to 1999, he earned a national reputation for bringing innovations to government. He is faculty director of the Innovation in American Government program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, chairman of the Manhattan Institute's Center for Civic Innovation, and a management consultant for Lockheed Martin IMS.
