Chapter 5, “How to Successfully Implement Lean Six Sigma 2.0,” provided an overall deployment process for holistic improvement, beginning with Lean Six Sigma. This approach is based on the lessons learned from the case studies in Chapter 4, “Case Studies in Holistic Improvement,” as well as the realization that attempting to launch a true holistic improvement system initially would be daunting. We now delve into the first phase of the deployment process, a step referred to as launching the initiative. This is probably the most important phase.
