The Leadership Communication Guide includes two elements in this section: a description of the new world that excites the leader and an equally vivid description of the world without the change. The stakes of inaction are just as important as the stakes of action. This is not the place in the Guide to dwell on the means; it calls for a focus on the eventual result of our combined effort or the consequences of doing nothing. Neither is it time to dwell on the hardship of the journey; it is a time to describe the allure of the destination.
